Uncoated Profile Construction and Material Considerations

Our fence compound is built on rigid PVC resin with UV inhibitors, impact modifiers and stabilisers, and it is extruded as a single homogeneous section. Because there is no cap layer to wear through, the surface can be sanded, routed or re-cut on site without exposing a different colour underneath.

Specifications We Fix Before the Extrusion Run

Profile geometry is set before the die goes on the line, so the following points are agreed in writing rather than adjusted during production.

• Picket section and spacing, and whether the rail is open or ribbed.
• Rail section, normally 2"x3.5" for picket systems, and the number of rails per bay.
• Post size, wall thickness and routing pattern for line, corner, end, 3-way or blank positions.
• Cap style, typically dog ear or spade, and whether caps are fitted on site or pre-fitted.
• Panel height and width, plus the gate leaf widths that must match the run.
• Colour selection from white, grey, tan or cream, and any project-specific colour target.

Extrusion, Fabrication and Repeatability

Production follows a fixed sequence: extrusion, cutting to length, drilling, notching, packaging and storage. Rails are routed so pickets insert cleanly, and posts are routed so rails seat into the post wall, which is what gives the assembled section its pull-out resistance.

An independent quality-control group inspects each extruder's output every hour and carries out additional random checks across the shift. That cadence is what keeps wall thickness, colour and hole position consistent between the first container and the fifth.

Packaging, Delivery Scope and Serviceability

Components are bundled and cartoned by profile type so that a container can be unloaded straight into a yard or onto a site without re-sorting. Rails, pickets, posts, caps and hardware can ship together as a complete kit or separately for fabricators who cut and route locally.

What does uncoated mean for a PVC fence profile?

It means the colour and UV protection are compounded through the entire wall of the extrusion instead of being applied as a thin outer cap. The section is one material from face to face, so a routed hole, a saw cut or a scuff does not reveal a contrasting layer underneath.

Which picket sizes and rail sections do you extrude?

Picket fences are commonly produced in 1"x1", 1.5"x1.5", 7/8"x1.5" and 7/8"x3" sections, with 2"x3.5" top and bottom rails in open or ribbed profile. Horse fence rails are double-ribbed and notched, and privacy panels use tongue-and-groove or lattice-top construction on 4"x4" or 5"x5" posts.

Can gates and posts be matched to the fence style?

Yes. Walk gates and double drive gates are built from the same profile, colour and cap as the fence run, and posts are routed for line, corner, end, 3-way or blank positions so the gate frame lands on the correct post configuration.

Do you ship assembled sections or loose profiles?

Both. Complete sections can be cut, routed and packed at our factory for direct installation, or profiles can ship as loose components for a fabricator who prefers to cut and route locally. The choice is recorded on the order so packaging and loading match the assembly plan.

What documentation accompanies an order?

Orders are issued with the applicable CE, RoHS and UL94 documentation, SGS and ASTM test evidence, ISO 9001:2000 and TUV certification records, and material traceability for the resin, TiO2 and pigment batches used in the run.

Can you develop a new profile for an OEM or ODM programme?
